Various Types of Cement Additives
The additives used in cement or mortar are divided into four categories
- Improve the rheological properties of concrete mixes. For example, various water reducing agents, air entraining agents and pumping agents.
- Adjust the concrete setting time and hardening performance. There are concrete set retarder, early strength agent and accelerator.
- Improve the durability of concrete. Including air entraining agent, water repellent and rust inhibitor.
- Admixtures for improving other properties of concrete. There are entraining agent, expansion agent, coloring agent, antifreeze, waterproofing agent and pumping agent.
